To Add Existing Documents to an Object

You can attach documents to objects that have already been added to other objects such as assets, tasks, files, and other objects, in AssetWise CONNECT Edition.

Follow these steps to add an existing document to an object.

  1. Open the object to which you want to add an existing document.
  2. Select the Documents tab. This tab lists all documents that have been attached to the object.
  3. From the Actions menu, select Add Existing Document.
    The Add Existing Document dialog appears.
  4. To add a document from your Basket:
    1. In the Add From box, select Basket from the list.
    2. Select a document from the list.
    3. Click Add Selected ( ).

  5. To add a document from your Favorites:
    1. In the Add From box, select Favorites.
    2. Select a document from the list.
    3. Click Add Selected ( ).
  6. To add a document from a folder:
    1. In the Add From box, select Folder.
    2. Select a folder from the list.
    3. Select a document from the list.
    4. Click Add Selected ( ).
  7. To add a document by searching for it:
    1. In the Add From box, select Search Results.
    2. Enter a search phrase in the box.
    3. Select a document from the list.
    4. Click Add Selected ( ).

  8. To add a document from an advanced search:
    1. In the Add From box, select Advanced Search.
    2. Enter a search phrase in the box.
    3. Select a document from the list.
    4. Click Add Selected ( ).
    Note: For more information, see Search.
The document is added to the list of documents attached to the object.
